It is no more a matter of 100 crore! The stakes have gone higher, as it has turned out to be the case in the year gone by. With Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan speaking the language of 200 crore and above, Salman Khan would be looking at making an entry into the ‘Exclusive Club’ with Jai Ho.

"The good thing is that he was off the big screen right through 2013 but his small screen stint with ‘Big Boss’ as well as many appearances and dos ensured that he was never off the sight," says an insider, "He won’t have to form a re-connect with the audience and now it has to be seen how far does Jai Ho go in theatres.”

With five back to back centuries behind him and one near double hundred as well, Salman has been enjoying a dream run right from the days of Dabangg toDabangg 2. With Ready, Bodyguard and Ek Tha Tiger as super-successes as well, Salman is also on the verge of a double hat trick with Jai Ho.

"With Dhoom 3 crossing the 250 crore mark just in India (and the Hindi version) and Chennai Expresspassing the 225 crore milestone as well, Aamir and Shah Rukh have upped the bar. Jai Ho is a huge release no less for Salman Khan, considering the fact that it deals with ‘aam aadmi’ hitting back on the corruption, something which is the prevalent mood in country’s political and social scenario as well,” the insider adds.

With a fortnight to go for the film’s release, Salman is keeping a close tab on the film’s hype.

"Eros is bringing the film and they have massive plans to give it a huge release. Moreover, its timing couldn’t have been better since it releases on the Friday leading to Republic Day. The film makes a strong social statement as well and a lot would be heard on these lines in days to come," the source adds.

While that happens, it would be interesting to see how Jai Ho scores at the box office, with Salman Khan not just extending his hit run but also giving tough competition to the other two Khans right through the year with Kick as his next release this summer.

Salman Khan was literally rolling-on-the-floor-and-laughing when he was on the sets of Comedy Nights With Kapil. This was Salman’s first time on Kapil Sharma’s comedy show and he seem to have enjoyed it thoroughly. The Dabangg star was on the show with Daisy Shah and Sohail Khan promoting his upcoming release, Jai Ho.

Every celebrity who has so far been on this show have fallen in love with it, be it Shahrukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Dharmendra, Hema Malini, Madhuri Dixit, Sania Mirza, and the list goes on. Even Ajay Devgan and Sunny Deol were compelled to smile. But Salman Khan’s episode is going to stand apart from everyone else’s with the amount of laughing he did on the sets.

Salman Khan who was on the show to promote his film Jai Ho graced the sets with his leading lady, Daisy Shah and producer-brother Sohail Khan. The trio, though entered the show composed and dignified, were reduced to tears and falling to ground holding their tummies, all thanks to Kapil Sharma, Dadi, Bua and Palak. One can’t stop wondering what would have happened if Gutthi was added in this list too.

★ ‘Jai Ho’ reflects country’s current political scenario: Arbaaz Khan !

While superstar Salman Khan has been urging not to link his upcoming film ‘Jai Ho’ with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), his brother and actor-filmmaker Arbaaz Khan says somewhere there is a connection between the movie and the country’s current political scenario.

"It’s a very good co-incidence that Jai Ho somewhere reflects the current scenario in the country,” Arbaaz told reporters.

AAP formed by Arvind Kejriwal, who is now Delhi’s Chief Minister, came into existence in 2012, and since then it has come a long way. Its stunning show in the Delhi assembly elections last December showed the power of the common man and also pushed the Congress to a humiliating third spot in its bid for a fourth term in office.

Jai Ho, directed by Salman’s youngest brother Sohail, also focuses on the power of a common man.

"The film has been made by my brothers (Sohail and Salman) and it’s a very good film. It will come out Jan 24. I wish them all the very best," he added.

Arbaaz is all praise for the film and hopes it becomes a huge hit.

"People will get to see the Salman they have always wanted to see. The film has turned out very well on the whole. Inshallah, it will be a huge hit," Arbaaz said.

Jai Ho also features newcomer Daisy Shah and Tabu.
