Dabangg 2 First Weekend In Mumbai
Rajesh Thadani, Multimedia Combines
The film opened on a fantastic note by earning Rs 19.5-20 crore all over India, whereas in Mumbai it made Rs 7-7.5 crore. It has an advantage as Tuesday too is a holiday. So the film will sort of enjoy an extended weekend.
Compared to other parts of India, Mumbai has the highest number of Salman Khan fans, who make sure they catch Bhai’s film without fail. If we add the weekend, collections should cross Rs 60 crore, all-India. This film may not break the record set by Salman Khan’s earlier release, Ek Tha Tiger, but it will break many other records.
Dabangg 2 First Weekend In Delhi-UP
Brijesh Tandon, H K Tandon and Company
Dabangg 2 has received a massive opening across India and in our territory too, where it earned Rs 3.4 crore on first day. The number of footfalls will increase during the weekend though there may be a fall on Monday but ticket sales will pick up on Tuesday as it is a holiday.
The reports of the film are good and everyone is talking about Salman Khan’s performance. Most Salman Khan films are watched by the family audience, which is an advantage. Over the weekend, the movie will definitely reel in Rs 11.5-12 crore in Delhi-UP
Dabangg 2 First Weekend In East Punjab
Jaspal Dhingra, Nanaksar Enterprises
This film has not stood out as much as Ek Tha Tiger did but, in its own way, Dabangg 2 has made a mark. The reports of the film are good, which means the audience loves the movie. So the possibilities are endless. It’s a Salman Khan movie, after all. Secondly, there is no big film releasing in the next three weeks, so that’s an additional advantage for this film.
In East Punjab, Dabangg 2 earned Rs 1.5 crore on day one, and during the weekend I am expecting collections to hit Rs 4.5-5 crore. The film has been allotted maximum number of shows by most multiplexes. It is also running house full in single-screens. So expect the film to be a blockbuster very soon.
Dabangg 2 First Weekend In West Bengal
Debashish Dey, Aum Moviez
Dabangg 2 managed to reel in Rs 1 crore on its first day in West Bengal even on a non-holiday. If one compares this film to other non-holiday releases like Rowdy Rathore, this movie has earned almost 60 per cent more. Rowdy Rathore earned around Rs 44 lakh and Dabangg 2 breached the Rs 1-crore mark. Actually, this is the biggest opening of the year for movies releasing on a non-holiday.
During weekend, Dabangg 2 will definitely reach Rs 3.2 crore. A part of the weekend will watch the film on Tuesday as it is a holiday. The number of shows has been increased in most multiplexes, so during weekend, the movie will do good business. Yes, no doubt Ek Tha Tiger remains Salman’s biggest hit of the year because it released during Eid, but tickets for Dabangg 2 cost less and we have to take that into account.
Dabangg 2 First Weekend In CP
Sarang Chandak, Shri Rang Films
Salman Khan has a very loyal audience in CP, at least. He appeals to everyone in the audience, regardless of age and social standing. The opening of Dabangg 2 was almost 90 per cent here and footfalls increased with the evening and night shows. The film has broken the first-day record for a non-holiday release in India.
Dabangg 2 will set a new benchmark in its own way and is expected to cross Rs 3.25 crore during weekend. On day one, the film earned around Rs 1.1 crore, which is a very high number in our territory. On Tuesday too, it will it earn over Rs 1 crore.
Dabangg 2 First Weekend In Nizam
Ravi Machhar, Sahyog Films
Dabangg 2 has done fantastic business in the Nizam circuit and I can say with confidence that, in our territory, Salman Khan is king. The movie clocked Rs 1 crore in Nizam. Moreover, in our territory, ticket rates are never raised so comparisons based on collections are fair. It is a feat to cross Rs 1 crore on a non-holiday.
The report of the film is also very good, so the film will perform well during weekend. It should collect Rs 3 crore by Sunday night.
Dabangg 2 First Weekend In Mysore
B H Basha, Bahar Enterprises
We have a mixed audience in Mysore but, still, Dabangg 2 managed to earn Rs 1 crore on day one and today, the graph will rise as it is a weekend. Besides, Tuesday is a holiday and that’s an advantage. Vacations have also begun for schools and colleges and there is no competing release for the next three weeks.
During weekend, Dabangg 2 will earn Rs 2.75- 3 crore in our territory. Although the film looks pretty similar to the first installment, audiences still love it. It will be a good holiday treat for the family audience.
Dabangg 2 First Weekend In Mysore
Gaurav Gaur, O’Real Imaginations
There was a fall in collections during this the morning shows today but the evening and night shows will compensate for this. On day one, the film earned Rs 1.21 crore. It’s a Salman Khan film, so the family audience will watch it on the weekend while others will watch the movie it on Tuesday. Dabangg 2 will not break the record set by Ek Tha Tiger although this film is the biggest non-holiday opener. I am assuming collections to be Rs 3.6 crore during the weekend, in Rajasthan.
Dabangg 2 First Weekend In Bihar
Rakesh Singh, Maa Sona Films
The film wrapped its first day at Rs 37-38 lakh in Bihar and is expected to enjoy a spectacular weekend. Dabangg 2 is a typical Salman Khan movie and being a sequel to Dabangg, it has an advantage at the ticket window.
Weekend collections are expected to cross Rs 1 crore in Bihar. This year has been spectacular for the Indian film industry. It opened with Agneepath, which was a blockbuster, and now the year will end with Dabangg 2.
