Dialogues form the heart and soul of any film. In the 100 years of Indian cinema, there have been many iconic dialogues, especially from Bollywood that have remained with audiences even today.

Whether its films like Sholay, Agneepath, Mughal E Azam, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Maine Pyaar Kiya or Dabangg, it's the dialogues that have shaped the emotional content of the film and heightened them in a way.

Rewinding into the past and moving into the present, here are a few such dialogues that have become popular over the years and have become a way of though and speech with Indian fans.

Mere Karan Arjun Aayenge. Rakhee truly believed that her dead sons, Karan and Arjun would surely return to take revenge on thakur. Such was the power of the mother that Karan Arjun actually came back from the dead and defeated the villains. What a simple dialogue can do!

Aap toh purush hi nahi, mahapurush hai. Although Andaaz Apna Apna was a flop in its time, the dialogues became so popular that every movie buff had by hearted the entire film, in spite of the film's fate at the box office. And Aamir's repetitive dialogue- Aap toh purush hi nahi, mahapurush hai, kept everyone in splits! The film went on to become a cult classic largely due to the dialogues, courtesy Dilip Shukla.

Hum aapke hain kaun. Madhuri Dixit and Salman Khan asked this question to each other in Sooraj Barjatya's biggest hit- Hum Apke Hain Kaun. Although the film had many memorable dialogues, it is this particular one that brings out the relationship between Salman and Madhuri in the film, making it a favourite.

Thappad se darr nahi lagta saab, pyar se lagta hai. Dabangg broke all records and was a super hit at the box office. This film was Sonakshi Sinha's debut vehicle and she was so convincing that she became a rage post Dabangg. When she utters the dialogue- Thappad se darr nahi lagta saab, pyar se lagta hai to Salman, it sends ripples down the spine.

Ek baar jo maine commitement kardi, us ke baad toh mein khud ki bhi nahi sunta. Wanted was considered as Salman Khan's come back film and it did wonders for Salman and all his fans. This dialogue is repeated every now and then and has almost become a trade mark for Salman.
